Friday we learned all about murals.
A mural is a work of art, usually a painting that is done directly on a wall or ceiling, or another surface that is mounted to a wall.
Murals are usually large scale and are commonly found in public areas.
We looked at several murals online and then each student participated in painting an abstract mural on the playground fence!
Dr. Howard's students assisted with the mural and left their mark as did the teachers and work studies :)
Ms. Kim's class will be putting the finishing touches on the mural the second week of Inspiring Artists, so stay tuned to see the finished product!!!
(our inspiration came from the Georgetown Elementary Art Blog)
the first week of swimming lessons finished up Friday!
the students had a great time and learned so much!
